A first RPM of Beta 2 of next major version of Mozilla Foundation messaging client is available in remi-test repository for Fedora 9 and 10 (i386 and x86_64). It's a backport of the version available in rawhide (the development branch which will become F11).
About 2 years after thunderbird2-2.0-0.1.b2, I do it again, with pleasure, to allow you to test this new beta.
The thunderbird3-3.0-0.b2.fc10.remi package install this new version besides the version 2. So you will have 2 entries in the Internet menu.
WARNING : a backup of your profile (.thunderbird directory) seems mandatory.
Start by reading :
- Thunderbird 3 Beta 2 Release Notes
- Sortie de Thunderbird Beta 2 (French article by Tristan Nitot)
As always :
yum --enablerepo=remi-test install thunderbird3
Actually the enigmail and lightning extensions are not compatibles (I work on it) and will be disabled.
I start to test the new features and I expect yours feedbacks.
