RPM of accelerator for PHP is back in the remi repository for Fedora and remi-test for Enterprise Linux.
Project web site : eAccelerator
As the project seems dead for months, and no PHP 5.4 compatible version were available, it have been removed from the Fedora >= 17 and remi repository. Users upgrading from PHP 5.3 to PHP 5.4 have to remove it, and choose another cache.
Visibly, a new developer, Hans Rakers, revive the project, and code available in github is already usable, but not yet released.
Installation :
yum --enablerepo=remi install php-eaccelerator.
Of course, you cannot use it with another cache installed (php-pecl-apc for example).
According to tests and feedback, I will consider to re-submit it for official Fedora repository.

I have noticed a conception issue, which is a security problem.
Extension change the cache rights to 777.
I will try to propose a fix to upstream and update the package.
New package, version 1.0-0.2.git42067ac, should improves the right management on disk cache.
See : Pull Request 17
Update to 1.0-0.4.git42067ac.
By default, disk cache is disabled. When also installing the php-eaccelerator-httpd package, disk cache is enabled for apache and the control panneur is available at http://localhost/eaccelerator/ (see the /usr/share/eaccelerator/index.php file for the password).
Il should also work for other sub-packages for nginx, lighttpd and php-fpm.
It seems this project is dead again... no reply from upstream.
