RPM of new version 0.44 of libmemcached the library to communicate with memcached servers is available in remi repository for Fedora ≥ 11 et Enterprise Linux. It's also available in rawhide repository.
As always:
yum --enablerepo=remi install libmemcached
This library is required by the new memcached PECL extension (an alternative to memcache) in active development phase.
As this new version breaks ABI (with previous 0.43), I don't plan any update in the fedora ≤ 14 repository.
In this new build, the client can use SASL. (fedora ≥ 11 only)
No RPM for EL or older fedora, because a patch can't be applied with old libtool, autoconf and automake versions.

Add RPM for fedora 8 to 10 and EL, without SASL support.
