The RPM of the new version of the unix unified agent for Open Computer and Software Inventory Next Generation is available on Fedora, EPEL (updates-testing) and remi repo for Fedora, RHEL and CentOS.
This RPM is available in official Fedora >= 11 and EPEL >= 4 repositories. It's available here for older Fedora versions (from Core 6) and for RHEL / CentOS >= 3..

Installation :
yum --enablerepo=remi install ocsinventory-agent
Download : the repository
Available help:
ocsinventory-agent --help
man ocsinventory-agent
For default options configuration, edit the /etc/ocsinventory/ocsinventory-agent.cfg file. This options are only useful for interactive use.
For automatic inventory (cron), edit the /etc/sysconfig/ocsinventory-agent file.

We do absolute minimal installs, and I had to install at least bridge-utils for this rpm to work (i.e., bridge-utils should be a dep if I understand correctly, or this should be documented for non-local inventories). Thanks for the great work though!
I think the brctl is required only if you have a bridged connexion (this have been discussed with the main developer)
If you don't have this tools, inventory should work ? (perhaps a info message in the log, but inventory should be ok)
Did you encounter an "fatal" error when brctl not available ?

I think bridge-utils should just suggested or maybe recommended. If you use bridge, you already have bridge-utils installed.
