The RPM of the new version of the unix unified agent for Open Computer and Software Inventory Next Generation is available on Fedora (updates-testing) and remi repo for Fedora, RHEL and CentOS.
This RPM is available in official Fedora repository, it obsolete the old ocsinventory-client. It's available here for older Fedora versions (from Core 4) and for RHEL / CentOS >= 4. I will push it to EPEL soon.
To discover all the new features, read the Changes file.
The big version number jump could be surprising (0.0.10 => 1.0.1) but it really suits the product maturity.
Installation :
yum install ocsinventory-agent
Download : the repository
Available help:
ocsinventory-agent --help
man ocsinventory-agent
For default options configuration, edit the /etc/ocsinventory/ocsinventory-agent.cfg file (warning, this has changed from previous versions). This options are only useful for interactive use.
For automatic inventory (cron), edit the /etc/sysconfig/ocsinventory-agent file.

I've uploaded Enterprise Linux 3 build (should also work with VMware ESX)
I've also used this occasion to update to 1.0.1-4 which allow to set the PATH in the cron configuration file (to be able to use the manufacturer command: ipssend, hpacucli, ...)
